TrustPower is a publicly owned company listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX). TrustPower operates in the New Zealand electricity market as a generator and retailer of electricity. TrustPower also owns a 98MW wind farm in South Australia. TrustPower generates electricity solely from renewable energy sources and has a number of new potential renewable energy source developments in various stages of planning and development. TrustPower has no plans to develop generation that is from any non renewable energy source. TrustPower has two large shareholders and nearly 13,000 small parcel shareholders as well as 6200 bond holders. Infratil Limited is a specialist investor in infrastructure and utility assets. Infratil is listed on the NZX and is a major stakeholder in airports in New Zealand and Europe as well as electricity and other investments in New Zealand and Australia. Infratil was a cornerstone shareholder in TrustPower on formation in 1994. The Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust (TECT) is managed by 6 elected Trustees. The beneficiaries of TECT are electricity consumers with a TrustPower account situated in the territories which the former Tauranga Electric Power Board and Tauranga Electricity Limited supplied. In simple terms, this is the districts of the Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty Councils. TECT was a cornerstone shareholder in TrustPower on formation in 1994. |
