The most expensive homes auctioned by Bayleys last week were both in the Auckland suburb of Herne Bay, one on Sentinel Rd which went for $3.025 million and another on Marine Parade which fetched $2.95 million.
At the other end of the price scale, a character studio on Kitchener St in the CBD sold for $438,000 and a two bedroom apartment with two car parks in Flat Bush went for $490,000.
In Hamilton a contemporary townhouse with weathertightness issues was sold by mortgagee auction for $150,000 and someone picked up a four bedroom brick house on a 1348 square metre section for $367,000, while a renovated three bedroom house on a 5222 square metre section at Netherton (9km from Ngatea) sold for $290,000.
