John is a Kiwi who has lived in Canada and worked for 8 years with two major power utilities; 16 years back in NZ consulting practice, and then 13 years in Washington with World Bank and London with EBRD involved in project appraisal, sector restructuring and institutional reform in Asia, India, Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. Since returning to NZ in 2003 he was a Director of Transpower and Chair of the network Risk Committee while continuing to undertake consulting work in Asia, Middle East-Africa and the Pacific.
