AMP Home Loans increases long term mortgage rates

AMP Home Loans, a product brand owned by Kiwibank and distributed through the AMP agent network, increased its three, four and five year mortgage rates on Monday morning. The move is the latest in a long line of long term mortgage rate increases over the last couple of weeks and comes after Kiwibank raised its own five year rate by 35 basis points (bps) to 7.95% a week ago. AMP Home Loans raised its standard three year mortgage rate by 14 bps to 6.99%; its standard four year rate by 15 bps to 7.55%; and its standard five year rate by 15 bps by 15 bps to 8.00%.
