Grew up on a farm in Fiji, came to NZ to study and work as a nurse in Auckland now. First nurse positioned in Gisborne, where first investment was a house which is now on rent. Moved to Auckland because of work but would like to retire back to Gisborne one day for cost and lifestyle reasons. At 31 years of age, I plan to save and invest in both shares and property on the East Coast for the next 14 years, and be financially independent. I keep my costs low $500/fortnight and save over half of my income and invest it. I am stingy and proud of it.
