The numbers are drawn from Vote Education, Vote Tertiary Education and Vote Education Review Office.

Eh? Where does the 1.4% come from? Spending has been the same and projected to stay there? Gone down since 2019... 🙄

I thought National were pumping billions more into education?. its around 4 300 million or 1.4 % more.

Wonder what those increases in Home Schooling Allowances could tell us about peoples trust in the education system in NZ.

So $22.749b -> $23.004b. A nominal increase of 1.12%, or a reduction of 1.09% in real terms after accounting for the 2.24% inflation forecast by Treasury over the June 24 - June 25 financial year.

 

Not spread evenly of course, tertiary training spend increases by 4.93% in nominal terms.
