The cheapest Auckland property sold at the latest Harcourts auctions was an apartment at Browns Bay on the North Shore, which went for $525,000 (pictured).
The most expensive Auckland sale was a house at Mellons Bay in the eastern suburbs that fetched $2.15 million.
At other auctions around the country a couple of homes at Taupo sold for just over $500,000 each, prices were mostly in a range of a few thousand dollars either side of $300,000 in Hawkes Bay and although a couple of stately homes in Invercargill failed to sell, you would likely have had plenty of change from $500,000 for either of them.
