Bayleys sold nine out of 15 at latest commercial auction, plus latest commercial sales results from Colliers and Barfoots

Bayleys sold nine of the 15 commmercial properties at their latest auction, with five being passed in and one withdrawn from sale.

Retail premises continued to be popular, with a group of three shops at Greenwoods Corner in Epsom selling for $2.175 million and a 187 square metre shop in Newmarket leased to clothing chain Cotton On selling for $3.05 million.

At Barfoot & Thompson's commercial auction industrial units were to the fore but a strata office unit in Albert St in the CBD was passed in.

We also have details of the latest sales by Colliers International, which ranged from industrial land in Tauranga to an office tower on Auckland CBD fringe.

Results of Barfoot & Thompson's commercial property auction, February 3:

  • 181 Captain Springs Rd, Onehunga. A classic light industrial building with offices at te front and a total of 634 square metres of floor space, on a 766 square metre site. Vacant. Sold for $1.4 million. The agents were Graeme Palmer and Graeme McHoull. 
  • 82A Elizabeth Knox Place, St Johns. A 276 square metre light industrial unit with office space and parking.Vacant. Sold for $868,000.The agent was Mike Jensen.
  • 5A/17 Albert St, CBD. A 230 square metre office space with good views. Passed in at $560,000. The agent was Wayne Muir.

Recent commercial property sales by Colliers International:

  • 11 Manga Rd, Silverdale, North Shore. A 370 square metre industrial building on an 835 square metre site. Producing gross rent of $54,395 a year plus GST. Sold at auction for $820,000 providing a yield of 5.85% The agents were Ryan de Zwart, Shoneet Chand and Sam Sherning.
  • 49-51 Symonds St, CBD. A 10,130 square metre, 13-level office tower with two additional levels of parking, on a 1500 square metre site, with an additional development site of 1420 square metres. Sold for $49.7 million. The agents were Charlie Oscroft and Gareth Fraser.
  • 30 Angle St, Onehunga. A 518 square metre office/Warehouse. vacant. Sold for $1.075 million. The agents were Ben Cockram and Hamish West.
  • 3 Tarndale Grove, Rosedale, North Shore. An 890 square metre industrial building. Sold for $1.65 million. The agents were Janet Marshall and Ryan de Zwart.
  • 51 and 59 Poturi St, Tauranga. Two industrial-zoned sections. Sold for $798,500. The agents were Simon Clark and Richard Davidson.
