ANZ NZ has unveiled significant upgrades to its mobile banking apps, which it says move it "up in the pack"versus its main rivals, and is promising plenty more to come with its focus on mobile banking stepped up now the ANZ-National Bank technology merger has bedded in.
On Friday the country's biggest bank upgraded its goMoney app, aligning the app for iPhone and Android phones. At the same time it brought the curtain down on the National Bank iBank app.
Fred Ohlsson, ANZ's managing director for business banking who was last week also named its managing director of retail banking, told interest.co.nz the changes were a significant milestone for the bank.

big talk but pity that their website is having big issues and dysfunctional today then
"Some customers might find a slow connection with Internet Banking and goMoney due to load issues. Our technical team are working on getting service back to full speed ASAP."
Technical people are blaming worldwide updating to iOS 7 swamping networks around the world, if the ANZ site depends on offshore components (hi NSA) then it could be being caught up the surge of international traffic.
