Stew Hamilton joined Mercury in 2021 as the General Manager. Here he had the responsibility for management, operation, and maintenance of electricity generation assets. Hamilton became the Chief executive of MCY effective in September of 2024. Prior to MCY, Hamilton was the Chief executive at New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Ltd, and has over 25 years of experience in the industrial energy sector in Australia, New Zealand, and Africa.

Scott St John has an extensive career in the investment advisory industry, and capital markets. St John is also chair of ANZ Bank, director of ANZ Group, and the Next foundation. St John was also a former director for Fonterra Cooperative Group. One of his major contributions to the markets was his work in the Financial markets Authority Establishment Board, at this time he was also the Chancellor of the University of Auckland.
