Auckland Airport is New Zealand's main airline hub. It is the largest airport in the country. In 2023 alone the airport served over 16 million passengers.
CEO profile
Carrie Hurihanganui was appointed CEO of Auckland International Airport in October 2021. Hurihanganui was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Air New Zealand where she worked for 21 years, overseeing pilots, cabin crew, engineering, and infrastructure. Hurihanganui is the first female Chief Executive in the company's 55-year history. Hurihanganui graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies, further completing many advanced studies including INSEAD, and Harvard.

Dr. Patrick Strange has spent 35 years working principally in New Zealand and international electricity and infrastructure sectors. Dr. Strange completed a Doctorate in civil engineering at the University of Auckland, moving to Europe and North America for 13 Years. Dr. Strange also has a Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Auckland and is also a Distinguished Fellow of IPENZ.
