Carrie Hurihanganui was appointed CEO of Auckland International Airport in October 2021. Hurihanganui was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Air New Zealand where she worked for 21 years, overseeing pilots, cabin crew, engineering, and infrastructure. Hurihanganui is the first female Chief Executive in the company's 55-year history. Hurihanganui graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies, further completing many advanced studies including INSEAD, and Harvard.
