Chairman profile
Doug McKay is a non-executive director, appointed Chair of VCT in September 2022. McKay has over 35 years of business experience in commercial and operations. McKay has contributed a mass of work in New Zealand and Australia having been the Managing director and Chief executive for Lion Nathan, Carter Holt Harvey, Goodman Fielder, Sealord, Independent Liquor and Proctor & Gamble. McKay was the Chief executive of the Auckland Council from May 2010 to December 2013. McKay retired as the Chair for the Bank of New Zealand in May of 2024, and then as a trustee (Chair) of the Eden Park trust board in June 2023.

Simon Mackenzie was appointed the CEO of Vector Limited in 2008. Mackenzie has been a part of the Vector scene since 1998, and was the Chief Operating Officer until July 2008. Mackenzie has qualifications in Engineering, finance and business studies, as well as an Advanced Management Programme from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
