- Develop a comprehensive plan to appropriately respond to and ultimately reduce the levels of sexual violence.
- Build an integrated response to intimate partner violence by bringing together departments, agencies and service providers working across and outside government.
- Address the lack of in-depth understanding amongst service providers, statutory agencies and judiciary of the dynamics of honour-based violence and forced marriage.
- Improve access to culturally appropriate information about different contraceptive methods.
- Decriminalise abortion by removing it from the Crimes Act.

- Provide more funding for specialist services, treatment and support for those affected by sexual violence and abuse.
- Provide more funding to frontline services such as Women’s Refuge to address the increasing demand for family violence services.
- Increase in kaupapa Māori services, including community-led based birthing centres, antenatal, maternity and postnatal care services and programmes.
- Increase facilities and resources for families to help those at risk free themselves from sexual violence.
- Invest in frontline services such as Women’s Refuges throughout Aotearoa to enable them to address the huge numbers of police callouts, to restore safety and wellbeing while still maintaining zero tolerance for violence.

- Reforming family violence laws to better protect victims, who are predominantly women, and making it easier for them to get the help they need.
- Encouraging women to get into science, maths, technology and engineering by setting up our STEM directory which identifies opportunities in the sector.
- Have the public sector lead the way on tackling the gender pay gap with each department to develop a plan to close their gender pay gap; and continue to work with the private sector to eliminate the gender pay gap.
- Continue to promote more women to public sector boards and encourage the private sector to do the same.
- Support women to take care of their own health by offering them one free dental course during pregnancy and up to their baby’s first birthday.

- Increase funding to Women's Refuge and similar organisations working in the voluntary sector.
