Securities Commission investigates one of its own

The Securities Commission announced late on Friday it had stood down the Commission's Deputy Chairman Donal Curtin, a former BNZ chief economist, while it investigated whether Curtin adequately disclosed his interests in financial advisory group Vestar and failed finance company MFS Ltd. Hugh Rennie QC will conduct the inquiry.
