Shock Congress 'Nay' vote sparks market chaos (Updated)

The House of Representatives of the US Congress has voted 228 to 205 against the US$700 billion bailout plan, shocking financial markets. The Dow closed down 777 points or 7% at 10,365, it's biggest ever points decline.The broader S&P 500 closed down 8.8%. US Treasury bond yields fell sharply in a flight to quality.
