ANZ National said it had lodged its formal application for inclusion in the government's Deposit Guarantee Scheme. It is the last of the big banks to apply to join the scheme. ASB and BNZ have already been approved, while Westpac's proposal is being considered. Kiwibank, TSB, Rabobank and SBS have also been approved. Meanwhile Marac Finance was approved by the Treasury for inclusion in the scheme. It joins NZF Money and PSIS, who were approved earlier. * This article was first published earlier today in our daily subscription newsletter for the banking and finance industries.
