Kiwibank website working again after day of problems

Problems with Kiwibank's website over the past 24 hours seem to have been fixed now, Kiwibank spokesman Bruce Thompson told interest.co.nz. Thompson said that the problems were due to a technical issue. Earlier this week, Kiwibank switched its transaction processing system from an in-house system to the open systems based Postilion platform, run by Postilion. Thompson said that the website problems had nothing to do with the Postilion switch over. "There might be a bit of heavy usage over the next hour or so, but it is operating properly now," Thompson said. The website had been having trouble for about 24 hours, working intermittently during that time.
