Most home loan customers 'satisfied' - survey

It is high-value customers who are driving these satisfaction levels up, and high-value customers are impressed by Westpac and ASB, Roy Morgan says. Westpac continues to make the largest gains in the "˜high value' customer segment, up 7.9 points to 75.2% in the 12 months to May 2009. This group (the top quintile) makes up around 20% of the market in terms of customers but account for around 65% of the total market value, giving it the greatest profit potential. ASB added 5.5 points to maintain top position in the segment at 81.6%. These gains were the driving force behind overall increases made by the five majors, up 3.6 points to 76.3%.
