The latest poll on interest.co.nz indicated that the majority of those who voted thought New Zealand should not have promised to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. Last week, the government announced it would aim to cut emissions by between 10-20% of 1990 levels by 2020. Poll question: How much should NZ promise to reduce its greenhouse emissions from 1990 levels by 2020? Nothing. It's pointless as our emissions are swamped by those from the US, China and India, who aren't cutting their emissions. (54%, 242 Votes).
