Reserve Bank of Australia leaves official rate at 3%

The Reserve Bank of Australia left its official interest rate unchanged at 3% on Tuesday afternoon, which was in line with expectations. The Australian dollar fell on the news after RBA Governor Glenn Stevens did little to provide clues in his accompanying statement as to where the rate would head in coming months, which was expected by the market.
