- Ask politicians to pledge to cut flights to Wellington by 25 percent.
- In place of the Zero Carbon Act and Emissions Trading Scheme, introduce a no-nonsense climate change plan which ties New Zealand’s carbon price to the prices paid by our top five trading partners.

- Train and resource independent on-farm advisors to assist with the transition to sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices.
- Develop a system of certification for primary industries to provide incentives for on-farm mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon sequestration, and resource farmers to engage with it.
- Ensure that forestry that is planted for the purpose of carbon offsetting provides multiple benefits and services, such as erosion protection, riparian protection and habitats for native biodiversity.
- Provide incentives to match land use to land use capability.
- Place an emissions pricing systems price on all sectors of the economy.
- Incorporate soil carbon, the health of biological soil systems and soil water within climate change response frameworks, acknowledging their vital role, in conjunction with plant life, in sequestering carbon in the soil and cooling the area.
- Establish a carbon budget to drive decisions on climate policy, with annual capped emissions budgets.
- Establish a clear strategy, action plan and carbon budget for a rapid transition to a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions economy, in line with keeping the average global temperature rise below 1.5 degrees Celsius.
- Ensure that all our international trade agreements enable countries to implement low emission economic policies and practices.
- Reverse net deforestation trends and provide incentives for resilient afforestation and sound management of our indigenous forests, including through payments or tax credits for certified carbon sequestration, more support for the expansion of permanent forests, and improved pest control in indigenous forests.
