- Replace the Resource Management Act with a law that lets people build without restrictive zoning such as the Metropolitan Urban Limit.
- Let councils issue targeted rates to pay for infrastructure for new housing developments.
- Get councils out of the building consent and inspection business and introduce mandatory private insurance for new housing.

- Reinstate the four wellbeings (social, environmental, cultural and economic) into the purpose of local government as originally specified in the 2002 Local Government Act.
- Uphold the principle of no taxation without representation by calling new elections rather than replacing elected councillors with appointed commissioners.
- Ensure that amalgamation of councils is decided by a referendum and require the majority support of voters in each affected local authority area before an amalgamation may proceed.
- Require every local body not using a ranked list system to hold a poll on introducing such a system. Such polls are to be binding for three electoral cycles.
- Investigate bringing the governance of all publicly-owned entities (e.g. Stateowned enterprises and Council-controlled Organisations) under a single Act.

- Funded projects to create almost 11,000 nature-based jobs, supporting local councils and iwi across the country.
- Invested $761 million to assist local government to upgrade water services, kick-starting much needed work to bring our drinking , waste and stormwater infrastructure up to scratch.
- Established the Infrastructure Reference Group to work with local government to seek bids for infrastructure projects.
- Boosted investment to support the Central-Local Government Partnership Group, allowing work to continue on local government reform programmes, and supporting the development and implementation of a Local Government Recovery Plan.

- Repeal the RMA and replace it with separate environmental and urban development legislation.
- Deliver more options for common transactions, such as driver’s license applications, to be able to be completed online Expedite and complete the review of funding for Fire and Emergency New Zealand and
- explore alternative funding models and mechanisms for the organisation.
- Amend ACC legislation to clarify cover for firefighters through an evidence-based presumptive list of cancers which arise from being a firefighter.
