WHAT THE NZX 50 INDEX IS DOING
The NZX50 dropped -0.9% today, extending its six-month decline to -6.2%, though still holding a +1% gain year-on-year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There were 30 gainers in the market, led by Vital Healthcare Property Trust (VHP, #24), up +2% and now +2% year-on-year. Auckland International Airport (AIA, #3) rose +1%, with a +9% gain over the past six months and +1% year-on-year. Port of Tauranga (POT, #10) also added +1%, climbing +5% in the last six months and +28% over the year. Serko (SKO, #46) inched up +0.3%, lifting its five-day gain to +1%, though down -3% year-on-year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
Among the 47 decliners, Mainfreight (MFT, #9) led the fall, dropping -3% today and -7% over the week. The company has shed -23% in the past six months and is down -19% year-on-year. Kathmandu Brands (KMD, #50) also fell -3%, down -33% over six months and -39% year-on-year. Infratil (IFT, #4) dropped -3%, slipping -4% on a year-on-year basis. Gentrack (GTK, #25) was down -2% today and -6% for the week, but still sits +30% higher than this time last year.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
TruScreen (TRU) has launched a 5-year cervical cancer screening program targeting 260,000 women in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Partnering with the Ho Chi Minh City Public Health Association and distributor Gorton Health Services, the program will use TruScreen’s AI-enabled, real-time, non-invasive screening device. Backed by Vietnam’s National Action Plan, the initiative aims to boost screening rates among women aged 30–54 and could later expand nationwide. TruScreen’s portability and lab-free tech were key to its selection.
