Here are the key changes to know about in the New Zealand equity market; NZX, and Stride Property gain and The Warehouse recovers some. Gentrack and Scales slip back

Here are the key things you need to know about in the NZX markets over the past 24 hours. Changes are as at 3:00 pm and may change when the market closes at 4:45 pm.

WHAT THE NZX50 IS DOING
The NZX50 opens the week with a decline of -0.4%. This puts the index at a gain for the month of +0.7%. Compared to this time last year the NZX50 is up +14.4%. 

THE MAIN GAINERS
There are 34 gainers for the first day of the week. The biggest gain by the NZX (NZX, #42) up +2.2%. The NZX has gained +7.7% for the month, its share price is currently $1.40, a +30.8% increase for the year-to-date. Stride Property Group (SPG, #35) have the next biggest gain up +2.1%. SPG is down -0.7% for the year-to-date, but gain +6.7% for the last full-year. The Warehouse Group (WHS, #46) are up +1.8% but face declines across all fronts. WHS has slumped -11.2% for the month, and -35.5% for the full-year. Vista Group (VGL, #36) gain +1.7%, and a massive +114.8% for the year.

THE MAIN DECLINERS
Gentrack (GTK, #27) lead the group of 46 decliners, down -2.4%. GTK stay level for the last month, up +1.2% pushing its huge performance to a +109.9% gain for the full-year. Scales Corp (SCL, #40) follow closely down -2.1% but similar to GTK, have positive gains across the board. SCL gains +11% for the year-to-date and +16.6% for the full-year. Summerset Holdings (SUM, #16) declined -1.8% followed by Serko (SKO, #49) down -1.7%.

KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Vista Group (VGL, #36) has noted Potentia request for a special shareholders meeting to nominate two Directors for the company. On the 12th of October, Peter James, who was one of the nominees of Potentia notified VGL that he did not wish to proceed with Potentia's nomination and has withdrawn his consent to being a Director with immediate effect.

Manawa Energy (MNW, #22) announced to the NZX that it will release its interim results for the six-month ending on the 30th of September on Friday the 8th of November.

The NZX (NZX, #42) updated its full-year earnings guidance following strong performances. The NZ stock exchange has raised its FY2024 guidance range to $45-$49 million. This is an approximately 10% move between the midpoint of ranges. 

Precinct Properties (PCT, #19) advises that its Annual Shareholders Meeting will be held on the 15th of November. It will be a hybrid meeting held at the Toroa Meeting Suite in the PWC Tower. To read the ASM's agenda follow here: PCT ASM
