- Revitalise rail through a programme to upgrade and expand the rail network and modernise trains, working towards a fully electric system that reduced the needs for cars and flights.
- Institute multiple passenger rail services designed for regular inter-city transport. It should be priced using flexible field management pricing.
- Incentivise heavy goods to be carried by rail and improve rail connections to ports.
- Improve procurement regulations of rail infrastructure to favour reliability, ethical, whole of life cost and local supply when evaluating tenders for rail equipment.
