- Introduce a new policy of Gang Control Orders to crack down on gang members and minimise the risk posed to the public.
- Utilise Inland Revenue’s powers to investigate gang members’ income and tax paid.
- Introduce an infringement notice offence for shoplifting, resulting in instant, practical punishments such as fines and community service.
- Review the use of electronic monitoring sentencing for violent offenders and abolish the prison population reduction target.
- Invest in safer communities by increasing the number of prison beds.
- Bring back Three Strikes to keep the worst reoffenders off the streets.
- Restrict the use of electronic bail, while dropping the target for lower prison numbers.
- Focus prisons on rehabilitating illiterate and innumerate prisoners to break the cycle of reoffending.
- Reform the reparations system so that the Crown faces the burden of risk of slow reparation payments or nonpayments.
- Clarify that judges are to impose the least restrictive outcome that does not impose a disproportionate risk to the community.

- Establish a Crown Prosecution Service for New Zealand. This service shall be a government department which is responsible for deciding which charges to lay, as well as carrying out prosecutions.
- Investigate the recodification of criminal offenses currently spread across a number of Acts, into one Act, and in particular to assess whether the criminal code is becoming too complex in its categorisation of criminal activity.

- Ensure that there will be a ban on gang patches and insignia in public spaces.
- Police will have the power to issue dispersal notices to anyone they reasonably suspect of being a gang member or prospect.
- Police will have the power to issue a dispersal notice to any group of gang members gathering together in a public place.
- Give police the power to issue Firearms Prohibition Orders.
- The Commissioner of Police will be able to issue a Firearms Prohibition Order (FPO) to any gang member who has been convicted of a serious offence.

- New Zealand First will designate gangs 'Terrorist Entities' under the Terrorism Suppression Act 2022.
- We will establish a dedicated gang prison to minimise prison recruitment of non gang members.
- Prioritise the principles of the Sentencing Act to focus on the needs of the victim and the community, and lastly the offender.
- Implement policies in our secondary education system to maximise driver licence qualifications amongst all young people and extend that provision for prisoners wishing to gain a licence while in prison.
- Fund tattoo removal for rehabilitated gang members in prison - whilst assigning that cost back to that prisoner if they replace those tattoos with other gang associated tattoos.
- Increase the use of mandatory minimum sentences for serious violent and sexual offenders.
- Introduce a 'degrees of murder' regime that utilises ‘life for life’ for 1st Degree Murder.
- Remove community sentences or discounts (such as cultural reports) for violent offenders who are considered a threat to the community.

- Provide funding for a national rollout of the specialist Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Court which has been successful in reducing reoffending.
- Introduce a new offence for ‘stalking’ to provide clearer guidance for police investigating criminal harassment.
- Provide better support to victims, particularly for violent offending, through specialist counselling and financial assistance, as well as greater influence in name suppression decisions.
- Improve access to legal aid by increasing income thresholds and removing relationship status requirements as well as increase funding for the public defence service.
- Respond to increasing cybercrime threats through improved regulation, data management, enforcement and response.
- Legalise, regulate and tax the sale and supply of cannabis, by incorporating it into the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, and remove cannabis from the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975.
- Introduce a Community Constable Trial in Christchurch as part of raising community visibility of the Police.

- Stop benefit attachment orders on all welfare recipients and introduce a judgement proof debtor policy.
