BNZ's chief financial officer Adrienne Duarte, whose July departure from the bank was announced recently, is to join the former GE consumer finance business Latitude Financial Services as its CFO.
An Australian who previously worked for BNZ's parent National Australia Bank, Duarte will move back to Melbourne next month.
Sean Morrissey, CEO of Latitude Financial Services, said Duarte's appointment was a "very important" one for the business, describing her as "an outstanding and accomplished CFO, with a proven track record of success."
Latitude Financial Services offers personal loans, credit cards, insurance, and interest-free promotional and retail offers. It also provides financing products and services to retail partners, and for managing credit applications, credit authorisation, billing, remittance, and customer service processing.
Duarte (pictured) has been BNZ's CFO for five years. The bank has yet to announce her successor.
Latitude Financial Services was created through the purchase of GE Money by investor Värde Partners, private equity group KKR, and Deutsche Bank from US conglomerate General Electric in an A$8.2 billion deal in 2015.
