Former UDC boss Chris Cowell joins Heartland Bank

Ex-UDC Finance CEO Chris Cowell is joining rival Heartland Bank with the job title head of South Island.
Cowell retired as CEO of the ANZ owned UDC in the middle of last year, where he had been CEO since 2009.
"Chris has over 30 years banking experience most recently as CEO of UDC and prior to that, general manager of commercial banking for ANZ National Bank. He brings a wealth of experience and skills to the role," Heartland said in a statement.
"Heartland is pleased to have someone of Chris' stature in a leadership position in one of its most important regions."
