Net profit before tax increased +43.8% to $83.9 mln and net profit after tax rose +49.9% to $59.2 mln, supported by stronger full-price sales and improved supplier and freight rates. Glassons Australia sales increased +29.0% to $324.4 mln, with Australian profit before tax up +27.0% to $43.5 mln, while New Zealand sales rose +11.5% to $124.8 mln and profit before tax increased +51.9% to $29.1 mln. Digital sales grew +26.2% and accounted for 19.0% of group revenue, up from 18.0% a year earlier. The company declared a final dividend of 40.0 cents per share, taking the full-year dividend to 69.0 cents. Trading has remained strong into FY27, with group sales +18.4% ahead of the prior year on a constant-currency basis over the first eight weeks, although Hallenstein Glassons cautions that this growth rate is not expected to continue at the same level through the remainder of the first half and highlights ongoing economic, geopolitical, foreign exchange and cost uncertainties.
Tourism Holdings (THL, #41) says due diligence on two non-binding indicative offers from BGH Capital and the Trouchet family interests, and Indie Campers, is progressing constructively and in good faith. The company says the process has taken longer than initially expected due to the scale, complexity and multi-jurisdictional nature of its operations, and the Board has agreed to provide both parties with additional time to complete their assessments and submit any revised proposals. Both offers remain non-binding and subject to a range of conditions, with no certainty that either will result in a transaction.
