WHAT THE NZX50 IS DOING
The NZX50 has declined from yesterday's late surge down -0.2% at this time. The index is now up +0.6% over the last five days, up +8.9% year-on-year.
THE MAIN GAINERS
There are 34 gainers today, the biggest by The Warehouse Group (WHS, #45) up +3.4%. WHS has stayed relatively level as of recent up +0.8% over the last 5 days, up +1.7% for the month. Although as mentioned yesterday the Group still faces long term challenges with a decline of -6.2% over the last six-month period, down -23% for the year-to-date. Sky Television (SKT, #46) is on the gainers list today up +2.6%. SKT is now up +8.5% for the month. Manawa Energy (MNW, #24) is next, up +1.5% followed by Fisher and Paykel Healthcare (FPH, #1) up 1%.
THE MAIN DECLINERS
There are currently 46 decliners on the Mainboard today. The biggest decline by SkyCity (SKC, #26) down -3.4%. As a result of SKC's breach of its 'Host responsibility programme', their penalty of a five-day closure set by Internal Affairs begins next week on Monday, September 9. SKC is down -7.7% for the month, down -28.7% year-on-year. Fletcher Building (FBU, #18) is back on the list today down -2.7%. FBU has seen a -2.7% decline over the past five days coinciding with the announcement of their multi-million dollar settlement to fix the leaky pipe issues in Western Australian homes. Kiwi Property Group (KPG, #22) is next down -2.6% followed by Oceania Healthcare (OCA, #37) down -2.4%.

THE KEY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Oceania Healthcare (OCA, #37) has announced governance changes today. Peter Dufaur is set to retire from the Board at the end of September. Dufaur has been a member of the Board since 2021. Following Dufaur's retirement, Greg Tomlinson will Chair the Development committee and the OCA Board will reduce down to six Directors. OCA has also made further changes with Rob Hamilton appointed Chair of the People and Culture committee and Sally Evans now Chair of the Sustainability committee.
